Individual Therapy

Therapy is about working together with the client to address their challenges and find the best way forward. In supporting her clients to achieve their goals, Vania provides only empirically validated therapy. She works primarily with adults, however in certain circumstances she can work with adolescents. The evidence-based approaches provided by her include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

What is Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT)?

CBT is an evidence-based psychological treatment that helps people overcome a wide range of challenges. Research shows it can lead to better functioning, improved wellbeing, and a higher quality of life.

What is Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) THERAPY?

EMDR is an evidence-based, internationally recognised, well-established therapy that helps the brain reprocess memories that feel “stuck.” It reduces the emotional intensity of distressing experiences so they can be remembered without feeling overwhelming.
